MIL-PRF-121G Bags, Pouches & Packaging

MIL-PRF-121G formerly known as MIL-B-121G is the most recent revision of the military specification that defines the requirements waterproof, greaseproof and even heat-sealable flexible barrier packaging must meet to preserve military equipment and supplies. It was established in 2001 to replace MIL-B-121F. To be classified as MIL-PRF-121G products, the materials the products are manufactured from must be constructed according to guidelines issued by the Department of Defense — or DoD — and meet predetermined performance requirements.

We offer the following types of MIL-PRF-121 G packaging products:

• MIL-PRF-121G Type 1: Constructed from polyethylene and Kraft paper, MIL-SPEC PRF bags of this type are both waterproof and greaseproof. They provide robust protection against the moisture, salt and rough handling that items are exposed to when they’re being transported or stored for use in naval and naval aviation applications. Due to their ability to withstand water, grease and corrosion — as well as their sturdy construction — these bags don’t burst, rip, age or curl. This quality makes them of a much higher caliber than any equivalent for commercial use.
• MIL-PRF-121G Type II: Made from Kraft paper and polyethylene, our Type 2 MIL-PRF-121G pouches are waterproof, greaseproof and heat-sealable in compliance with MIL-DTL-117. These pouches offer durable protection for items that need to be preserved in extreme conditions in naval and naval aviation environments.
• MIL-PRF-121G Type II Class 2: Constructed from polyethylene and creped Kraft paper that isn’t heat-sealable, MIL-SPEC-PRF-121G Type II Class 2 packaging is stretchable and flexible as well as greaseproof and waterproof. It can be used to protect the coatings of metal items or metal surfaces when insulation from the packaging or other items in the package itself is needed.
