At Caltex Plastics, we manufacture our own packaging that meets MIL-PRF-131L standards set by the U.S. Department of Defense, ensuring our customers receive the absolute best protection.

Certified MIL-PRF-131L Materials

Whether you are packing machine components, aircraft parts, or other military materials, we supply packaging in the format you need, including roll stock, tubing, or preconverted bags and pouches. We can create custom sizes and configurations to fit particular hardware.

Class 1 Packaging

Our Class 1 packaging is suitable for general protective packaging in military applications. It is lightweight, flexible, and heat-sealable. It is also resistant to many chemicals, including nonvolatile residues and the effects of outgassing. Available in bottom, side, and zipper configurations, this packaging is extremely tear- and puncture-resistant. It can be used for vacuum packaging, including applications that require nitrogen flushing, and conforms easily to the shape of items.

We offer two varieties of Class 1 packaging:

CALPAC ULTRAFOIL 500M: This sturdy, foil-based moisture barrier laminate features a low-density polyethylene inner layer and is suitable for a wide range of applications.
CALPAC ULTRAFOIL 1000M: This super heavy-duty packaging is thicker and specifically designed to resist tearing and punctures.

Class 3 Packaging

Meet the needs of the most demanding environments with our Class 3 materials. This packaging has four layers, including scrim, polyethylene, and foil. It provides a robust barrier to protect against water, vapor, and grease. Our packaging is also flexible and heat-sealable.

Buried-metal construction shields package contents from static charges, making them ideal for protecting printed circuit boards and integrated circuits. Use this packaging to meet the needs of naval and aviation applications with high moisture, salt, and rough handling.

Moisture and vapor protection: Our material design creates a low moisture vapor transmission rate, preventing humidity damage during naval transport or damp storage.
