Bottom-Load Bags

Bottom-load packaging offers various benefits that can be valuable for a range of products and applications. Bags with this configuration are loaded from an open bottom seam and sealed with heat. These bags require bottom loading because the top end features a zipper and sealed section that will be torn off by the end user.

At Caltex Plastics, we provide many packaging configurations to support your unique demands. Leverage the benefits of our bottom-load bags or collaborate with our team to develop a custom solution for your packaging demands.

Features

Bottom-load bags have various features, including:

  • Zipper closure: There is a zipper closure on the top end of our bottom-load bags. This seal type allows end users to access the product inside the pouch and reseal the bag afterward. These zipper closures are ideal for food items and bulk goods storage, where users must keep the products secure until they use them.
  • Tamper evidence: We include a tearable seal above the zipper closure to verify that products are unopened. This tamper-evident design is valuable for products that expire faster when exposed to air and assures consumers that food products, pharmaceuticals and other products are still factory-sealed.
  • Durable seal: Bottom-load bags have a durable seal along the zipper to keep products fresh. When sealing the bottom of the bag after filling, the new heat seal will also keep products secure.

Applications

Bottom-load bags are ideal for several applications, such as:

  • Vitamins
  • Pharmaceuticals
  • Cosmetics
  • Moisture-sensitive products
  • Powders
  • Oxygen-sensitive products
  • Dried foods
  • Frozen foods
